Leisure Furl®

For over twenty years LeisureFurl® has been the world-wide leader for  in-boom furling and reefing systems.  Standard aluminum booms are made for boats 8-20mtrs, and optional carbon fiber booms are available as well.

Furling drums are mounted on the forward side of the mast for the “Offshore” model, and on the aft of the boom for the “Passagemaker” model.

While Leisurefurl® has been refined as to style and function over the years, the important fundamental features remain.  The system supports properly shaped full batten mainsails, with clew tensioning, Reef Lok™ halyard security, a gracefully tapered sail shell, built in sail cover, and a full range of options. Mechanical fittings are of investment cast and polished stainless steel.

Thousands of Leisure Furls ® have been made, and many have made long ocean passages and circumnavigations. 

Leisure Furl®, is especially suited for today’s growing multihull market, making the management of large full battened mainsails safe, and easily stowed be shorthanded crews.

As standard the boom comes silver anodised. Optionally we can paint them with AWL Grip or you can have them with a contrasting stripe.
